English

Tsurumatsu & Tomohisa
I slip into a kimono
And tighten my obi
I feel my spine straighten as I stand tall
These are the habits of a tiny world

Tsurumatsu
Know of the past and speak of heroic tales
In this mindful life of mine
I dreamed of human righteousness

Tomohisa
Sometimes, the light refracts

Tsurumatsu
Words are lost
Emotions wander

Tomohisa
But I know it can still be done

Tsurumatsu
The answer I wrote down is

Tsurumatsu & Tomohisa
In the world of literature

Tsurumatsu & Tomohisa
This is something
That I was born with
A ray of light that flows
From my fingertips to the tip of my brush
Let your feelings run wild
The words are dancing
If you study the past to understand the present
Then you're worthy of being a teacher[1]
Living in and living by literature
The beloved literary master

Tsurumatsu
I slip into a dream
When I imagine myself in the world I long for
I feel a chill run down my spine
And the demon of expectations turns its gaze towards me

Tomohisa
Sometimes, the light refracts

Tsurumatsu
Copying sentences
The violence of genetics

Tomohisa
But I know it can still be done

Tsurumatsu
After learning of love, my answer is

Tsurumatsu & Tomohisa
In the world of literature

Tsurumatsu & Tomohisa
In learning to simply live
I discovered the resolve to accept one another
Listen to what someone says
And speak to yourself
If you study the past to understand the present
Then you're worthy of being a teacher
Living in and living by literature
The beloved literary master
