Muku Sakisaka/SUMMER NIGHT ESCAPE
From A3! Wiki
Role Study: Akasaka
Backstage Stories
| Izumi | Let’s end practice here for today. Good work, everyone. |
| Tenma | Yeah, good work. |
| Misumi | Good work today~ |
| Muku | Ah, that reminds me. Yesterday I was talking to the members of the other troupe’s about how there are going to be creatures incorporated into Summer Troupe’s play this time around… |
| Muku | And so Itaru-san ended up recommending me some creature games. |
| Muku | He said he’d lend me his entire gaming setup if I wanted to play. |
| Kumon | Actually!? Games with creature features sounds super fun! Playing them would be good reference for our play too! |
| Kazunari | Playing video games about creatures and observing their movements and stuff would be really useful for a role study! |
| Izumi | There’s also various types of creatures in the games, so it would be pretty educational. |
| Misumi | I wanna see what kinda creatures appear too! |
| Yuki | I feel like Itaru just wants to spread his gaming propaganda with the games he likes but whatever, it won’t hurt to give it a try. |
| Tenma | That’s right. I don’t know what kind of games they are, but playing even a little would be beneficial. |
| Muku | By the way, Itaru-san recommended 6 different games that we could try, so it seems like everyone can play. |
| Kazunari | Recommending a game for every individual, that’s Itarun for ya! |
| Yuki | Can’t believe there’s so many creature games. Did any catch your eye, Muku? |
| Muku | Yeah. There was an otome game among them, so I thought we could try it out.[1] |
| Misumi | An otome game? |
| Kumon | Isn’t an otome game one of those games where the female protagonist falls in love with the male character? |
| Misumi | So Muku wants to fall in love with a creature~? |
| Izumi | I guess there are games like that… |
| Tenma | Well, it is a pretty Muku like choice. |
| Kazunari | Okay, let’s go borrow Itarun’s setup and try playing together starting tomorrow! |
| [Next Day] | |
| Tenma | So this is what Muku was telling us about, the otome game where you can fall in love with a creature. |
| Muku | Yeah, my heart has kind of started pounding. |
| Kumon | The protagonist’s a pretty ordinary girl! |
| Yuki | Excluding the protagonist's character, the classmates, teachers, family, they’re all creatures—... |
| Misumi | Some of them kind of look like insects, and fish, and kind of dirty, there’s so many types of creatures~ |
| Muku | But, it seems like the contents of the game are the same as an otome game. The insect-like creature seems to be a pretty self centered character. |
| Yuki | That looks pretty grotesque, I seriously can’t understand what this game is about… |
| Tenma | Even though the personalities and voices seem normal, it’s way too impactful… |
| Kazunari | Now now, if you look at the creatures individually they seem super fascinating! |
| Kazunari | Hey, which guy caught your eye, Mukkun? |
| Muku | I think I’m pretty interested in this guy, Shinra-kun… He looks like a prince, and I think he’s handsome. |
| Kazunari | The way everyone sparkles really makes them look like princes! |
| Tenma | Sparkles…? Well, if you’re looking at their personalities, then I guess. |
| Yuki | When I look at them, they look like fish from the very depths of the ocean though. |
| Misumi | The fin-like parts on the side of his head look like triangles, how nice~ |
| Kumon | Alright, let’s do our best to capture Shinra—! |
| Misumi | Yeah—! |
| [Later] | |
| Shinra | “Hahh… it’s you. Don’t come up to me so casually. I’ll bite you!” |
| Kumon | Eeeehhhhh!? Where did the prince go!? |
| Yuki | Wow, this guy seems like the type with a hidden agenda. |
| Tenma | Hey, don’t go saying unsettling things about hidden agendas. Are otome games usually supposed to be like this…? |
| Muku | I think so. It’s pretty common in shoujo manga for characters to be cold towards each other or fighting a lot at the beginning. |
| Tenma | Well, now that you mention it, you’re probably right. |
| Kazunari | This way! |
| Misumi | Let’s get closer by talking and hanging out some more~. |
| [Later] | |
| Shinra | “Don’t run away. You’re the one who approached me first.” |
| Muku | Wah…! |
| Kumon | That close up shot is hella impactful—! |
| Tenma | I guess this is what you call a “heart pounding” scene… |
| Yuki | Even if the love interest is a creature… |
| Muku | It’s definitely unique at first glance, but the story’s development is going so well that I can feel my heart pounding. |
| Kazunari | IKR~! |
| Yuki | No actually, I don’t get it at all… |
| Tenma | Muku’s really something else… |

Notes
- ↑ Otome games are dating simulations typically with a female protagonist and either a male love interest, or multiple (which coincidentally is also what A3! is listed as in the App Store 😭)
