Muku	Today is the long awaited release date for the new volume of “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo.”
Yuki	Yeah yeah. Let’s head over to the shoujo manga corner for now.
Muku	Yeah. Uh, huh? The person over there…

Muku	Sakyo-san!
Yuki	No matter how many times I see the money grubbing yakuza in the shoujo manga corner, he always looks so out of place…
Sakyo	Oh it’s you guys, going home from school, huh.
Muku	Yes. Did a certain book grab your attention, Sakyo-san?

	And the POP display for “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo” also caught my eye.
	Looks like today’s the release date for the latest volume. So, that’s what you’re here for, Sakisaka.
Muku	Yes, that’s right!
Yuki	You know, I’ve been thinking about this for a minute now, but I’m getting deja vu from this situation.
Muku	It’s probably from the release day of the 7th volume of “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo.” We met Sakyo-san at the bookstore on that day as well.
Yuki	Right, that’s when you did the present campaign for that manga.
Sakyo	Seems like they’re doin’ a similar campaign today too.
Muku	Oh, really?
Sakyo	Yeah, looks like you’ve gotta write down your first impressions of the latest volume on a postcard with the prize you want, and then submit the raffle application.
Yuki	H—m. Then does that mean you can get either a pouch or a compact again?
Muku	Ah, there’s photos of the prizes on the POP display. It seems like there are various prizes this time around…

Muku	Phew, I finally managed to finish writing…
Izumi	What are you writing, Muku-kun?
Muku	Ah, Director-san, I’m filling out a postcard application for “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo’s” present campaign.
	I have a lot of thoughts to convey to the author, so it took me a while to write it all down.
Izumi	Fufu, well it can’t be helped that it took a while to write since you’re writing your thoughts on one of your favorite manga.
	Speaking of which, what are the prizes for this present campaign?
Muku	There are things like stickers and compacts, as well as items and accessories for everyday use from the manga.
	There’s also a plush toy of Luna-kun…
Izumi	A plush toy of Luna-kun?
Muku	Yes. Luna-kun is the familiar of the protagonist, Cosmo-chan. He’s a pure white owl.
	I’m applying in hopes of winning his plush toy as a prize… but there’s a lot of competition.
Izumi	I see, Luna-kun is a pretty popular character.
Muku	Yes! He’s a very cute owl at first glance but his character is very adult and gentleman-like, and I find that gap to be very charming.
	Luna-kun is also able to use magic to speak, but sometimes the things he says really make my heart pound.
	I also kind of yearn to have a familiar as cool as Luna-kun…
Izumi	(Fufu, it seems like Muku-kun really likes Luna-kun.)
Muku	The cat familiar that appeared in the recent performance was also very lovely…
???	Shut yer blabbing!
Muku	Eh?

Muku	Wah, Kamekichi-san?
Izumi	You suddenly flew in, what’s wrong?
Kamekichi	Cuz Muku here needs someone as amazing as I!* You don’t need no freakin’ owl!
Izumi	(I guess Kamekichi was listening to our conversation, and now feels a burning rivalry with Luna-kun.)
	There there, calm down. Luna-kun is a familiar, and sort of a different creature than you are, Kamekichi…
Kamekichi	Then, I shall become a familiar too!
Izumi	Eh? That’s kind of…
Muku	You’re going to become my familiar, Kamekichi-san?
Kamekichi	Yup!
Muku	Wah, thank you so much. I really wanted to have a familiar, so I’m really happy!
Kamekichi	I dunno whatcher on about, but leave it to I!
Izumi	(Uhh, is this going to be ok? Well, both of them seem to be having fun…so I’ll just watch over them for now.)
	[Later]
Muku	Whenever Cosmo-chan is feeling troubled, Luna-kun notices immediately and goes to help her.
	See, like in this scene he says, “You can always rely on me,” in such a gentle manner…
Kamekichi	Das pretty impressive for a shitty owl!
Kazunari	I’m home~!
Muku	Ah, welcome home, Kazu-kun.
Kazunari	Oh? Kamekichi is here too.
Muku	Yeah. We were reading “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo” together. I was referencing it to find out what kind of things familiars do.
Kazunari	Heh? Why?
Kamekichi	Cuz I am Muku’s familia’ now!
Kazunari	Really? Familiars are super cool!
	Then that means you’ll grant all of Master Mukkun’s wishes, Kamekichi!
Muku	A-A master, I’m not worthy of a role like that…
Kamekichi	“When you’re troubled, consult me! I was born for yer sake!”
Muku	Eh, Kamekichi-san?
Kazunari	What was that, all of a sudden? Isn’t that a total 180 from Kamekichi’s usual character?
Kamekichi	Das what a familiar’s supposed to do! Muku taught me!
Kazunari	I see! Actually, I remember hearing that line a lot, where was it from again?
Muku	It’s one of Luna-kun’s lines from “Magical Girl ☆ Cosmo” volume 1.
	When Cosmo-chan was worried after suddenly waking up from the power of magic, Luna-kun said this line.
Kazunari	Ah, I remember now. Thankies Mukkun! It’s been a minute since I read it, so I completely forgot~
	That scene is hella coolsies!
Muku	Yeah, very much so! Kamekichi-san was also really cool like Luna-kun earlier!
	Um, would it be alright for you to say this lime from volume 3 as well?
	This line is where Luna-kun comes to save Cosmo-chan when she is in a big pinch due to the wizard enemy’s attacks.
	“No matter what happens, I will always be here to save you. Don’t ever let go of me,” is the line…
Kamekichi	“No matter what happens, I’ll always be here to save ya! Don’t ever lemme go!”
Muku	Wah, that was the best!
Kazunari	Mukkun and Kamekichi seem to be having hella fun~!

Izumi	Uhhh, what do I do…
Muku	Did something happen, Director-san?
Kamekichi	Ya look troubled!
Izumi	Ah, Muku-kun and Kamekichi. Did you two hear me talking to myself?
Kamekichi	Yup! Loud and clear!
Izumi	(Kamekichi is basically glued to Muku-kun’s shoulder…He really does seem like a familiar, though.)
	I had planned to have a meeting with Rento-san and Akashi-kun today, but they haven’t come yet…
	They haven’t returned my call either, so I’m kind of worried.
Muku	That is definitely worrying…
Kamekichi	I shall go look for ‘em!
Izumi	Eh, really?
Muku	They might be close by, so I think it’s a good idea for Kamekichi-san to go assess the situation.
Izumi	You’re right. Then, I’ll leave it to you.
Kamekichi	Leave it to me!
	[Flies Away]
	[Later]
	[Flies back in and sits on Muku's shoulder]
Kamekichi	I found ‘em and brought ‘em here!
Izumi	Wah, you really did. Thanks, Kamekichi.
Rento	Sorry for bein’ late!
Akashi	I-I’m very sorry for the inconvenience…
Izumi	Don’t worry about it. More importantly, what happened?
Rento	To tell ya the truth. On the way here, Akashi and I had found a baby bird that had fallin’ outta a tree and couldn’t move.
Akashi	But then we ended up discussing whether it would be a good idea for humans to help the baby bird, and it ended up taking a while…
Izumi	I see, so that’s what happened.
Muku	Was the baby bird alright after that?
Rento	Yeah. Kamekichi quickly assessed the situation and called over a parent bird to help.
	They ended up flyin’ away happily together, so I’m pretty sure the baby bird’s fine. It’s all thanks to Kamekichi, really saved us there!
Akashi	Truly, thank you very much…
Kamekichi	Ya can thank me with 10 meters worth of seeds!
Izumi	Fufu, alright. I’ll give it to you as a present for me.
Muku	You didn’t only find Rento-san and Akashi-san, but you even saved a baby bird…you’re amazing Kamekichi-san!
Izumi	Yeah I am!
CHOICE 1: That was a great achievement [+] Izumi Yeah, that was a great achievement! Muku You’re really amazing, Kamekichi-san. Even when I’m feeling troubled, you fly right over. Kamekichi Duh! CHOICE 2: That’s great [+] Izumi That was pretty great. You two seem to really trust each other, Muku-kun and Kamekichi. Muku Eh, really? If that’s what it looks like, then I’m happy. Eheheh, Kamekichi-san is one of my closest friends, and I’m proud to have him as my most trustworthy familiar!
Izumi	(Fufu, Muku-kun and Kamekichi are getting along great.)

	[The doorbell rings]
Muku	Y—es, I’m coming!
Deliveryman	Package delivery. Addressed to the residence of Sakyo Furuichi.
Muku	Thank you very much.
Deliveryman	Well then, please excuse me.
Muku	This package is really big. Let me take this to Sakyo-san’s room for now..
Kamekichi	Hold up! Lemme get Sakyo for ya!
Muku	Ah, Kamekichi-san!

Kamekichi	I called ‘em over!
Sakyo	Kamekichi told me that you received my package for me, Sakisaka. Thanks.
Muku	It’s quite alright.
Sakyo	…Hm? This package is lighter than it looks. What’s in here?
Muku	T-that’s…the Luna-kun plush toy!? So you also enter the present campaign’s raffle, Sakyo-san.
Sakyo	Yeah. Didn’t think I’d win anything though.
Muku	That’s Sakyo-san for you! Congratulations.
Sakyo	Sakisaka. You can have this guy, if you want.
Sakyo	I originally applied for the raffle ‘cuz I saw that you wanted this guy.
Muku	Eh, you remembered what I said at the bookstore, Sakyo-san?
Sakyo	Yeah, but besides that, I’m sure you’ll cherish this guy pretty well.
Muku	Sakyo-san…thank you so much! I’ll make sure to treasure Luna-kun!
Kamekichi	That guy’s the owl Muku was talkin’ about…
Sakyo	Oi, Kamekichi. Don’t tell me, you’re jealous of a stuffed toy.
Kamekichi	Like hell I am! Cuz my amazing self is already Muku’s familia’!
	Since I’m that guy’s senpai, I’ma have to coach him good!
Muku	Eheheh, I hope Kamekichi-san and Luna-kun become close friends quickly.
Sakyo	(Well, it’s fine since it’s Sakisaka…)
